Our Commitment
Intechra is committed to environmental sustainability through a comprehensive program of reuse, remanufacturing, redeployment, and recycling.

Our goal is to exceed U.S. EPA standards for solid waste recycling, and we proudly adhere to a zero-landfill policy for eWaste.

Intechra complies with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, including the Solid Waste Disposal Act; the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 (RCRA).

We are a member of the Basel Action Network (www.ban.org), a global network of toxics and development activist organizations that share a vision of international environmental justice. The Basel Action Network seeks to prevent all forms of “toxic trade.” Intechra was one of the first companies to sign the Electronics Recycler’s Pledge of True Stewardship, sponsored by the Basel Action Network. Compliance with the Pledge includes an absolute restriction on exporting hazardous waste to developing countries.

The Four “C”s
Intechra is committed to fostering an environment of responsibility at every level of our business.

Accordingly, we’ve adopted an environmental policy that guides all aspects of our IT asset management activities. Here are its key elements.

  1. Commitment: We are committed to the prevention of pollution and elimination of eWaste in landfills. We use best practices to achieve environmental excellence in all of our refurbishing and recycling operations to support our zero-landfill policy.
  2. Continuous Improvement: We regularly review our processes, assessing our impact on the environment and establishing new environmental goals annually.
  3. Compliance: We fulfill our customers’ requirements through strict regulatory compliance and detailed record keeping.
  4. Communication: We communicate our environmental policies to our employees and to our vendors. Our recycling partners are required to support sound environmental practices in their operations.
